ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST – COFFS HARBOUR, NSW

About the role:

This exciting opportunity is for a is a pivotal role within our small but rapidly expanding team.  We seek a proactive individual capable of driving initiatives forward, executing tasks efficiently, and delivering support and expertise to our team.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in our Coffs Harbour (NSW) office. We are open to exploring part-time arrangements for suitable candidates, with a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week being required.


In this role your duties will include:

  • Managing project delivery and providing technical expertise
  • Leading field programs (soil, groundwater, air, vibration)
  • Providing assistance on remediation projects (working alongside our remediation services team)
  • Preparing accurate technical reports 
  • Imparting technical knowledge to other staff members
  • Engaging in client relationship management and business development initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with agency legislation and industry standards.


Our ideal candidate:

  • A bachelors or master’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience
  • Technical report writing capability
  • Project management experience
  • Strong understanding of NSW CLM legislation 
  • Experience in managing stakeholders 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Manual drivers licence.


Although not essential, the below would be useful in your role with ENV:

  • Understanding of QLD CLM legislation
  • GIS capabilities 
  • Occupational hygiene consulting experience.
