About The Role 

We are currently looking for three Occupational Hygiene/HAZMAT Consultants to join our Ballina and Gold Coast offices in full-time positions. Our projects are primarily based in southeast QLD and northern NSW, however, travel further afield is occasionally required. The role services projects with a mix of field and desktop-based work, including: 

  • completing occupational hygiene assessments and undertaking a variety of sampling, monitoring, analytical analysis and reporting activities 
  • producing technical reports detailing investigations, risk assessments and solutions for clients 
  • performing lab analysis (fibre counting) at our in-house NATA laboratory and producing reports, to NATA specification 
  • working with clients to recognise, evaluate and control occupational health hazards to protect workers and improve their workplace. 

Our Ideal Candidate 

  • Bachelor-level tertiary qualification in science, engineering, health and safety or occupational hygiene. 
  • 2+ years’ of occupational hygiene industry experience, preferably in a consulting environment. 
  • Current Driver’s Licence (without restriction) and ability to drive a manual vehicle. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Maintain quality records, reports and compliance documentation, including computerised maintenance management systems. 
  • Work in a team environment and follow standard policies and procedures with minimal supervision.  
  • Has the capacity for occasional travel between ENV offices, as required. 

Highly Desirable Skills 

Although not essential, the below would be valuable in your role with ENV: 

  • Construction Induction Training (White Card). 
  • SafeWork NSW/QLD Licenced Asbestos Assessor (LAA) accreditation. 
  • Experience in fibre-counting analysis and reporting, to NATA standards. 
  • Eligibility for provisional or full membership with the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene (AIOH).

Remuneration
