An exciting opportunity awaits a talented and driven Environmental Consultant to join ENV’s dynamic team in a full-time capacity in our Mermaid Beach, Coffs Harbour, or Ballina office. 

As an intermediate to senior level Environmental Consultant specialising in Contaminated Land Management, you’ll be a key team member in delivering projects primarily in the SEQ and northern NSW regions. Your role will be diverse encompassing project management, field programs, reporting and driving business development. You will:  

• Initiate client leads and develop winning fee proposals. 

• Manage projects which includes overseeing team members, managing budgets, and servicing clients and stakeholders.   
• Lead complex field programs, spanning soil, groundwater, vapour, and surface water. 
• Analyse and interpret field and lab data, providing invaluable insights. 
• Create accurate technical reports that outline investigations, risk assessments, and bespoke solutions for our clients. 
• Collaborate with our remediation services team, offering advice on intricate remediation projects. 
• Take the lead in supervising, mentoring, and training team members, making a real impact on their professional growth. 

Our Ideal Candidate: 

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering or a related field. 
• CEnvP or CPSS certification (or actively working towards it). 
• Ideally you will have 5+ years of experience (with a minimum of 3 years) in contaminated land and environmental consulting. 

• Proven experience in assessing and managing Acid Sulfate Soils 
• A strong understanding of NSW and QLD CLM legislation (i.e. NEPM, NASSIM, ANZG, PFAS NEMP and ANZG). 
• Demonstrated aptitude in designing, planning and implementation of contaminated land management projects. 
• Advanced technical expertise complemented by excellent report writing skills. 
• A track record of successful project management and delivery. 

• Experience in preparing fee proposals and adept at managing stakeholders (clients, regulators etc). 
• Physically fit and available for overnight travel as needed. 
• Possession of a valid Driver’s License and capability to drive manual 4WD vehicles. 
• Experience working on audited projects or under a CEnvP SC or CPSS CSAM will be highly advantageous and greatly valued.
